Last Days here we come

"The Hypocrisy of the Tolerance Movement"

Check out Meridian Magazine today.  Maurine Proctor, a brilliant and good woman who I knew while living in Washington D.C., wrote an excellent article on the terrorism that is occurring against our Church in major cities across the U.S., particularly those in California. Stay strong, Manhattan, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Oakland.

Our leaders know what they are doing.  I know this is true.

What is astounding to me, is that I live in Salt Lake City, and people in our own Stakes are saying that our leaders are wrong on this point.  Last days, here we come.

It makes me so sad to see this. It is unbelievable, and I just don't understand it. I know our leaders are inspired and I can only have faith.

This whole political season has been so devastating to me. Did you know that thousands of members of the church have asked to have their names stricken from the records of the church, because the church supported Prop 8? And, my Grandfather and Uncles are receiving hate mail because of their support of Prop 8. It all makes me so very sad.

I had no idea, Lauren. In the article I posted, a man was forced to resign from his job after 25 years.

I had just been in Idaho (my homestate) where everything is so black and white. Of course they were for Proposition 8. Of course they trusted the brethren.

I guess I was astonished not only at the fierce backlash from nonmormons, but at the members of our Church who are not only walking on unstable ground, but are poised to lose everything: happiness in this life and all of the blessings of the next.

I must follow the Brethren. That is my only chance.

My heart breaks concerning people who think that they can 'see' better than our prophets.

It is said to see that life has gotten so distorted on what is really right. Just because the world is making things seem right, we have to remember who created us and who knows what is best for us. We are lucky to have a prophet and this gospel to help guide is in such a confusing world.
