The Big Announcement

We have not been getting many comments lately, and that is okay. I know that you are reading, and for some reason or another, maybe time, lack of blogger expertise, or my posts are not evoking emotion enough to comment, the comments are just not flowing. But I know that you are still there. Thanks for reading. I thought of a post that would evoke emotion and maybe a couple of comments. Sadly, the post had been evading us for the last 2+ years. But, thanks to Dr. Hammoud at the University of Utah Center for Reproductive Medicine and a ton of prayers-oh, so many prayers: WE ARE HAVING A BABY! I even changed the font size and color for the announcement which I never do. I chose BYU blue, because that is where I hope this new one will go to school. But if he or she chooses Utah State, which is also blue, that is great too. There you go. It is our happy thought and has been our fondest dream for a long time. We are the most blessed of families.

10th Anniversary

During my blog break, we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. I am in one of those great marriages that gets better with time. Some people try to resurrect 'the way that it was'. Luckily for me, my marriage is WAY better now than it ever was and it gets better every day. In 5,000 years I will probably look back and think the same. Andrew is my fortress. He has created a world of safety and happiness for me largely due to his confidence and faith. I am a happy woman. Oh, for posterity's sake, I gave him a towel. I know, so romantic. Andrew really loves showers and I thought that he would love his very own 820 gram weight pottery barn classic towel. I am not allowed to use it to remove my makeup. Happy Anniversary, babe.

Not Musical Talent, but Musical Enthusiasm

I stole this video from my ridiculously talented cousin's website , so most of my family has already seen it. But, I love the music, and it is brilliant. I admit, that as cool as I tried to be in high school, I was in band. And I loved it. I just loved being a part of something bigger than myself. Oh, I forgot to mention, I was not merely in band, I was in Marching Band (am I confessing too much?). Since I am confessing, I was not merely in Marching Band, I was the Drum Major. Go Candice. Right now, I am a "Drum Major" in my ward (a.k.a. ward choir director), and I have to give a shout out to our awesome ward, and their dedication. They presented a glorious Easter Program, full of the spirit. He lives. We are not an unusually musically talented ward. Far from it (I am what they had for a choir director). However, they are faithful/angel worthy, and when angels sing with a choir, they sound and feel amazing. I will never claim musical talent. I will claim music...
