The Ward Campout

I love taking pictures just before sunset in the summer. The light is so beautiful. We are at the Ward Campout, and Sarah found one of her favorite objects: a ball.

They located the campout by Jordanelle Reservoir. One of our Couple Missionaries had a boat, which was a huge blessing as 99% of our Youth had never been on a speedboat before. This was so foreign to me, as I was blessed to have a family that went waterskiing every weekend that we could. As long as Dad could get away, we would be on the lake.
Not a fun night. Sarah woke up screaming at 3:00 a.m. We ended up taking her home 45 minutes later because we had woken up the entire ward. They were so kind, because the next day the only comments we heard were, "we were just glad it was not ours" or "we thought that it was one of the Tupuas (a great big wonderful Polynesian Family in our ward).

This device was brought by the Jones Family. They bought an antique car and this contraption came with it. You feel as though your head is going to be smashed into the ground and the 'Gs' were surprising. I think that astronauts used it in training to get accustomed to the 'I want to vomit' sensation.

What fun pictures!

It's always a gamble to take a baby camping (because of the sleeping part) but it's fun to let them get so dirty, too.
Love the vid - that Sarah is SUPER!
