Sunday Morning General Conference

On Sunday morning our Young Women attended the Sunday Morning Session of General Conference (this picture was taken before I heard the announcement of no cameras or cell phones).
Bless these girl's hearts for getting up early and coming.  Bless the leaders who had sacrificed to get the girls there.  It was no small feat.
I know that Heavenly Father loves these Young Women.  Why else would He have arranged to have Sister Elaine Dalton (Young Woman General President) speak at our session?  She was awesome. I am definitely hiking Ensign Peak with my own flag.  "I can do hard things", her special plate said....then she instructs us, "In the Strength of the Lord, I can do all things".

We were blessed to sit together in the middle balcony (excellent seats) even though half of us were on standby.  We were also blessed with parking and a minivan (through Courtney...you are amazing, and thank you Sister Jenson for the extra tickets and parking pass).
Our sweet President (tall, in the green) handed the girls these Conference Word finds.  I had never done one and was a little skeptical, but after President Eyring's talk, I thought that I would give it a try (sorry mine is a little crinkly, and it is not my best handwriting.  It was just at this moment that I decided to pull it out of my bag and immortalize it).  It really did help me focus.  Thanks Gabrielle for being my Word Find partner:

The winner at this session was: church, which is true.  I love the youth of the church.  I will love them forever.

What a neat experience. I remember Young Women's so vividly and how much fun it is. Harmony Park Young Women are fortunate to have such loving and energetic leaders. You do such a great job!

I finally was able to watch the Sunday Morning session of conference tonight. I too want to climb Ensign Peak with a banner unfurled. How inspiring. I'm glad the Young Women were able to hear her words in person.

I had actually scheduled my banner unfurling in my planner. Now I just need something yellow, and a stick.
