Winnie the Pooh

My husband loves Winnie the Pooh.  He loved him before it was cute or cool to: before the classic Pooh decorated baby accessories.

Part of Drew's dowry were some wonderful classic Pooh books: I love them.  I love him.

I was reading one of these books to Sarah before her nap just moments ago.  One section caught my eye:

"What do you like best in the world, Pooh?" asked Christopher Robin.
"What I like best in the whole world is Me and Piglet going to see You, and You saying 'What about a little something?' and Me saying, 'Well, I shouldn't mind a little something, should you, Piglet,' and it being a hummy sort of day outside, and birds singing.
-The House at Pooh Corner

It made me want to visit a friend; and maybe that friend would offer me a little something, like Pear Harlequin http://grammagracie.blogspot.com/2008/10/canning-bagley-tradition.html (my Aunt just wrote about this amazing stuff....a Bagley tradition).  And me saying that I wouldn't mind some.  And then we just sit and talk and talk.  Maybe there would be a cozy fire, because my feet are freezing right now.

WHAT?! No, you come visit me first and then WE can visit Reno. Got that?!? If your feet are freezing, it's a balmy 85* right now. You want to come visit, I just know it! We can make jam (although I know from experience that Aunt Christy's food and recipe's rock. I have a few on file.), but our jam might not turn out the best.
