Twenty Thousand and 1

The past two days have been pretty awesome. The video I made that Candice posted a couple days ago has been viewed over 20,000 times in the past 24 hours on YouTube (I have two usernames, drewsrail and mormongratitude).

Meridian Magazine (an amazing web site magazine published by an amazing couple) helped with the exposure.

It was exciting to see the numbers grow so quickly.

But even more exciting was the One today.

Candice and I were at Temple Square. She was attending the temple while I stayed out with Sarah. We were in the South Visitors' Center watching some videos when a woman came over and started watching a video as well. We spoke for a few minutes. She was from Indiana, here with her mother who was attending a convention for work.

Candice eventually joined us and we spent the next hour with her talking about the gospel of Jesus Christ, temples, and eternal families.

Candice was kind enough to take her on a tour of the Conference Center while I did some temple work. Can you imagine Candice as your personal guide? Score!

One of the senior missionaries on Temple Square commented on how happy of a couple we were.

It is easy to be happy when you are married to Candice!

Yesterday was fun, seeing the effect you potentially have with the video. But there was something magical about today. In 3 Nephi 11:15 and 3 Nephi 17:21, it talks of the Savior spending time with each individual on a one-on-one basis. I think I may know a little more why. The joy is pretty powerful.

And I wonder if when He was in Gethsemane and on Calvary, He spent some time with each one of us, passing through our individual pains and atoning for our individual sins.

Maybe, just maybe.

Sounds like it was a neat day. Now I need to watch the vid!

The best place in Salt Lake City for finding people to talk about the Gospel with is around Temple Square. We rarely go, without having someone stop to ask us questions.

I love the comparison between reaching the many and reaching the individual. Both ways are important.
