We have decided that Memorial Day for us is up there with Thanksgiving and the 4th of July.
Maybe because there are no expectations. We do not plan for months nor stay awake at night in anticipation.
It just comes and we love it. Probably because of the spirit that we feel and they joy of remembering.
And being a part of something bigger than ourselves.
We visited a war memorial, and our own grandparents. We decided that we wanted to bone up on our fishing skills so that we can fish with Grandpa Walker when we are resurrected. That would be awesome.
Then we joined family for some hot dogs, and togetherness on Brandi and Steve's property.
Andrew vetoed the hotdogs for some pure fat. No nitrates for him. He is going for the pure stuff. He said they did it in Hungary. So while we roasted marshmallows, he roasted bacon fat and onions.
Enjoyed to the hundredth degree.
