Easter is hope, and one of my favorite holidays. We even hoped on this Easter that it might be warm, but it mattered not, for we bundled up and took a walk down the road.
Andrew thought that it would be romantic to have our Saturday Easter Egg Hunt at the old Burton Elementary School. The school where I had gone, and had hoped Sarah would go. But the school is abandoned, and she goes to a sparkly new and wonderful building.
Which is too far away for us to walk to.
Anyway, Andrew, and his best friend, Tyler Bell, went to the old school to hide the eggs and we followed.
This is definitely a holiday that is funner with children.
As a side note, I would like to thank Pinterest for teaching me about boiling the eggs, and then just coloring them with crayons. The warm eggs melt the crayons in a fairly non-messy manner, and create vibrant colors. It was easier than dipping them in dye.
Happy Easter!
Love,
