If you did not know, we moved to the country. And we love it. This spring has opened my eyes to the demands as well as the bliss of land. I have spent countless hours working, fertilizing, and watering our bullet hard clay soil praying that something will grow.
And it is growing.
Whew.
I love where we live. I am grateful to my family, for their superhuman efforts in making this land beautiful. Below is a picture of the gorgeous carpet of lawn that Dad Bagley brought in. What you cannot see very well is the people who put their backs and blood into laying it. In two days, two sets of grandparents (thank you, John and Joan, Mom and Dad), three cousins (Elayna, Anna, and Laurel) and three neighbor boys put in this lawn. It is a luxury. I am so grateful for it.
I still have not let anyone walk on it, I hold it so dear.
